Ornelas received her master’s degree with international honors at Texas A&M University — Corpus Christi College of Nursing and Health Sciences in 2010. Since receiving her FNP-C degree, she has been working successfully in pain management. Ornelas began her advance practice career in Texas in orthopedic surgery where she developed injection specific treatment of CRPS with astonishing results. She currently works as a functional medicine provider in pain management using alternative and complementary care. Ornelas’ diverse experience enables her to treat and manage patients with pain pumps and spinal stimulators as well as working with essential oils, transdermal magnesium and other natural medicine for pain reduction. Her balance of allopathic and homeopathic skill provide patients with diverse options for reducing pain and promoting improved functionality. A few areas of treatment specialties include axial spine pain, autoimmune disorders, fibromyalgia, occipital neuralgia, complex regional pain syndrome, naturopathic medicine techniques, as well as many injection therapies. Ornelas is also currently enrolled at the University of Natural Medicine in San Dimas, Calif., obtaining a dual doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine with a scheduled graduation date in 2018 as a board certified ND. She is currently at near completion of her first doctorate as Doctor of Natural Medicine.
